SYNOPSIS
Vincent
Through every drop of blood I spilled, I lost a piece of my soul. I’ve sacrificed seven long years and the woman of my life for the Family. With prison behind me, I’m finally taking the reins of my destiny. I won’t allow the choices of my past to define my future. But I’m not done fighting—not yet.

Eve is still out there.

I will stop at nothing to get her back.

Eve
After having my heart torn out by the son of the biggest crime family in New York, I was forced to start over in California. With three thousand miles between me and my past, life is finally set on cruise control. I’m a lawyer at one of the best law firms in the country, I own my apartment, and I even have a doting boyfriend by my side.

As for love?

It’s not worth the fight.

*Redemption (Vincent and Eve Book 3) is the final book in the Vincent and Eve trilogy. You must read Rising (Vincent and Eve Book 1) and Reckoning (Vincent and Eve Book 2) in order to enjoy the conclusion of this heart-stopping romance.

I was DYING to get my hands on this book. After reading the first two, which were phenomenal by the way, I needed to know that Vincent & Eve were going to be o.k.

REDEMPTION takes place seven years after the events of the RECKONING.
This book seemed slightly different than the first two and both Vincent & Eve changed. Vincent is still an asshole, but a more toned down version. He's changed and it's all for Eve. As for Eve, I found her quite ignorant at times. There must've been a part of her that had to question why Vincent did what he did. But once the air cleared there was still a lot of work to be had if they were going to make their relationship work.

As much as I liked REDEMPTION, I really could've used a little more closure on certain things. For example, if I'm being honest, I wish a certain villainous character would've gotten punished more instead of simply disappearing. I also had several questions that I wanted answers to, but I think that's just me being super picky.

Overall, I really enjoyed the trilogy, though the second book was my favorite of the three. Definitely recommend this trilogy for all angst lovers.

Review ~ Transcend Duet by Jewel E. Ann

FIVE+++ UNBELIEVABLE STARS

This journey was E-P-I-C.

This duet is LIFE.

Best advice I can give you: Go into this story with an open mind and open heart. With that in mind, please be aware that though I try not to spoil anything, there could be something in this review that might be considered spoil-ish. So....

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

"Fine. I'll be your girlfriend, but only until I find a real boyfriend."

When I reached The End, I literally took a deep breath and held my iPad in my arms (then rushed to Amazon and bought both the paperbacks). I wanted to hug each and every one of these characters. Every character tore so many emotions from me.

I'm so happy my patience paid off and waited for both books to come out. Transcend (book one) was outstanding, but that cliffhanger was insane!! I had a hunch and to have it confirmed...wow.

"One day Swayze is going to wake up and realize she settled for a borrowed life."

Swayze: I loved her. She was so strong, but oh so fragile. Being inside her head, seeing and feeling her struggles was so consuming. Everything she went through, I felt it all. She tore me apart.

"Tell me about your day, Swayz."

Griffin: I LOVE YOU. You just become one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends. The things you did for Swayze...OMG, my heart. Your chemistry together was palpable. They were heartbreaking.

"Swayze, you're everything. The stars and the earth. The sun of a million lifetimes. You're the girl I fell in love with. You're the woman I want to love. You're Morgan's every smile. You're my peace of mind. My salvation. You're beautiful beyond words. Smart. Sexy. Just...everything. Except...mine."

Nate: Oh, Nate!!! If there was one character I want to hug the most, it was you. I wanted to run my hands through your hair and tell you everything will be ok. I want to be one of the epic women to pass through your life and leave you wanting. What you've been through and the emotions boiling inside you were so profound. I love you, too.

This story was everything. EVERYTHING. READ IT!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back and re-read all my favorite parts and savor the story some more. Good luck to the next book I'll pick up. It's gonna be hard to top Swayze, Griffin and Nate.
