What is it about a HOT fireman?

Title: Light Her Fire

Synopsis:
He’ll show this good girl the thrill of being bad…

Good girl Melody Merritt is ready to be bad. Fresh out of an unsatisfying ten-year engagement to the town golden boy, she’s determined to make up for lost time. And who better to burn her sterling reputation to the ground than Bluelick’s sinfully sexy new fire chief whose wicked gaze promises complete and utter domination? Yes, please.

Corrupting the prim and proper Little Miss Bluelick is the most action Josh Bradley’s seen since he transferred from Cincinnati to fast-track his career. He won’t let anything or anyone—not even the delectable Melody Merritt—trap him in this Kentucky-fried Mayberry, but when their searing chemistry yields an unexpected result, he realizes he’s started a blaze that's completely beyond his control…

5-Alarm HOT Fireman Alert!

I’m back for more of Samanthe Beck’s yummy stories, and this one is a HOT one, folks!  As I started to read Light Her Fire, I backtracked a bit and decided to read book 1, Private Practice, first.  It was a short read, and boy was I glad I took that side detour.  For those who have read Private Practice, you know that scene between Melody and Josh? Yeah, thaaat one! I know y’all wanted more of them after reading that particular scene. Well, Ms. Beck graciously indulges us on how that scene came about with more delicious detail in Light Her Fire! That alone should be worth reading this! Don’t worry, even if you have not read Private Practice, I’m happy to tell you that Light Her Fire can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone.

This Private Pleasures installment is indeed Melody and Josh’s story.  Josh Bradley just moved to the small town of Bluelick as the town’s new fire chief.  He’s still not sure about setting up roots and staying in town, but meeting Melody Merritt sure did make things way more interesting.  Melody is known as Bluelick’s prim and proper good girl, and she’s freaking tired of that! I mean who could blame her after waiting and waiting for the right man to come along to help her unlock and explore her passionate side. This chick is ready for some naughty in her life!

“This man wanted to get down and dirty…with her. No hesitation.” eARC loc 176

Thank goodness that Josh is there to help her out.  Samanthe Beck is amazing at writing great sexy stories, and I think she stepped it up a notch with Melody and Josh’s scenes as they were pretty off-the-charts steamy.  I also loved where she took the story, as well. The mystery/suspense aspect kept me reading. A few of the secondary characters were warm, fun, and make for true friendships. Ms. Beck also very slightly teased on which couple will be in the next book. If my guess is correct, I can’t wait for more!

Read Light Her Fire if you’re in the mood for some small town steam with a good girl trying to be bad with a HOT fireman! Just be ready to fan yourself!
