ARC #Review The Saint (The Original Sinners 5) by Tiffany Reisz

Title: The Saint
Author: Tiffany Reisz
Series: The Original Sinners #5
Release date: June 24, 2014

Synopsis:
In the beginning, there was him.

Gutsy, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn't want to break. She's sick of her mother's zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she'll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Søren Stearns and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Suddenly, daily Mass seems like a reward, and her punishment is the ache she feels when they're apart. He is intelligent and insightful and he seems to know her intimately at her very core. Eleanor is consumed—and even she knows that can't be right.

But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. She vows to repay him with complete obedience…and a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets.

Danger can be managed—pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin.

Five Stars

HOLY FUCKING AMAZE-BALLS!!!! That is EXACTLY what this latest installment in The Original Sinners Series was!!

Every single time I finish a book in this AWESOME series I say, 'Yep, this one is my favorite' so guess what I said when I finished The Saint?? You got it! It ROCKED MY WORLD!! I literally laid in bed for over an hour last night after I finished just to let it soak into me some more!

Now, those of you who are new to the series, or have never had the pleasure of being a guest in the phenomenal mind of Tiffany Reisz may not get where my absolute gushing is coming from, but those of you that have know EXACTLY where I'm coming from!

"Jeg elsker dig, min lille en." ~Soren to Nora

I will talk a little about the story but not too much since it won't be released for another month and was lucky enough to get my little hands on this advanced copy but I would never want to ruin the experience for any of you! (go ahead, be jealous :))

"You have fallen in love with the king of all mindfuckers." ~Kingsley

I will start by telling you that I am incredibly and deeply in love with the characters in this book. I am in awe of them, they fascinate me like no other characters I have ever read. I am head over heels in love with Soren, I have never been as intrigued by a character as much as I am with Kingsley(oh, and I love him too) and I totally want to BE Nora!!! Now, in the Red Years(The Siren, The Angel, The Prince, and The Mistress) we have met and fallen in love with our characters as they are now, with hints of how they came to be the people they are. As we enter the White Years, which The Saint is the beginning of, we are going back to learn how it all began. In The Saint, we get to be a voyeur in the story as Nora and Soren meet and fall in love. OMG, just typing this me thinking about parts of the story and I'm getting goose bumps again, I swear!!

I highlighted passages like a crazy bitch while reading this so I want to share a few of my favorites with you...

"You're going through all this trouble for me, why?" Soren looked back and her and gave her a smile that stripped her soul naked and put it on it's knees. "Because there is nothing I wouldn't do to protect you, Eleanor. Nothing I wouldn't do to help you and nothing I wouldn't do to save you, Nothing." The way he spoke the final "nothing" sent a chill through her body. It scared her instead of comforting her. He meant it. That was why it scared her.

See....chills right??

Even if it was weird, she liked that. Life would be weird from now on. She was the mistress of a Catholic priest who was the best friend of the king of and S&M empire. Life was weird and wonderful and all she could say to it was Amen, Amen!

I have never read a more amazing love story than this one, it is amazing in its unconventionality!! These stories are not for everyone, so if you don't have an open mind then you're gonna want to just move along!! Seriously...go! Because if you can't open your mind and heart then you will never be able to fully enjoy what you will experience here.

So, I will leave you with this. If you haven't experienced this series, it is a MUST! If you have been a fan all along you will be thrilled to digest even more of the lives of these incredible people!! One last quote and I promise to stop!!!

I mentioned how much I LOVE THIS SERIES, right??? :)

Why did people flee from pain and avoid it like the plague? Yes, it hurt, but so did everything that mattered. Love hurt, life hurt, birth hurt, changing hurt, growing hurt. The dead didn't hurt, only the living. She had never felt so alive.

  1. I love this series!! I have read and listened to every book! I thrilled that it will be out soon. I'm a little confused, I thought the next book was The Priest. Is this Soren's story or their story?

  2. Hey Loupe! You are right, this book was originally supposed to be entitled The Priest, but due to some major controversy, Ms. Reisz decided to change it to The Saint. Same story, just different title, and yes, this is the story of how Nora and Soren came to be together. I can't wait to hear what you think! I loved it with every fiber of my being :) ~Holly

    1. Wait, I'm confused and stupid Goodreads is down. Is this part of a series? When I look up the Original Sinners series on Amazon, a serial with Nora as the MC comes up too. Where do I start if I want to start at the very beginning of it all?

    2. Hi Christy! For this series The Siren should be the first one to read. Here's the reading order:
The Red Years Quartet (The adventures of Nora Sutherlin, Dominant and erotica writer)
      1-The Siren
      2-The Angel
      3-The Prince
      4-The Mistress

The White Years Quartet (The adventures of Eleanor Schreiber, submissive)
      5-The Saint
      6-The King
      7-Untitled
      8-Untitled

    3. Okay, but then the serials that are coming out, aren't they related to this series? The Last Good Knight serial - how does that play into it all?

  4. Hey Christy -
The order that Grace shows above is the order you want to read in. The Last Good Knight Serial is fairly new so I would recommend getting through the first four books(The Red Years) before you read any of the shorts, such as The Mistress Files or The Last Good Knight. Only because if you read the first four you have a pretty good picture of all the players, enough to really enjoy those serials. I hope this helps and I can't wait to hear what you think of one of my all time favorite Series!! :)
