Jase and Nickie
have always viewed themselves as off-limits to each other. Nickie is the older
sister to Jase’s best friend. They’ve known each other for a very long time. Their
attraction for each other has been building for years. Now Jase has graduated
college and will soon begin his military career as a US Marine. He will be
deploying soon, so they only have one night to explore their feelings, their
passions, and their heart’s desire.
This is my first
time reading one of Caridad Pineiro’s stories. I am now a fan! I loved what she
did with this novella surrounding the “Take a chance” theme. Nickie has always
been the good girl. It is unusual for her to take a chance. Jase also held back
on acting on his feelings out of respect for his best friend. When the
opportunity arises…oh boy! All I will say is that the heat level is WOWZA in
capital letters! Yep!
If you’re in the
mood for something short, sweet, and ultra-steamy, take a chance on Just One Night! Apparently, this is the
first in the series. The next story will be about Nickie’s brother. Yay! I can’t wait to see whom Tommy takes a
chance on!

You know, I've never read anything by this author before even though I've heard so many good things about her. I'm thinking that maybe she doesn't have her books on audio. I have to check, maybe I can become a fan too :)
