Holy Hell! A super
steamy introduction to Laura and Javier!
First Strike is a
tantalizing prequel to Striking Distance. This is a very short story
that introduces the characters of Laura and Javier and sets the stage
for the next full-length book in the I-Team series.
Straight to the point,
Laura and Javier meet at a bar in Dubai. Their attraction for each
other is pretty instantaneous, and it becomes obvious that they both
want a “no-strings attached” hook-up. What's the problem? Well,
they're in the city of Dubai where unmarried sex is illegal. If
caught, they could get into serious trouble. Nevertheless, these two
find a way to spend one very hot evening together, which then turns
into one scorching weekend!!!
Pamela Clare continues to
create couples who are so passionately drawn to each other. First
Strike is primarily an erotic-romance short story with a splash of
enticing suspense. This can be read as a standalone. You don't need
to have read the other books to enjoy this super steamy novella,
although you might want to afterward if you've never read anything
from this amazing romantic suspense series!
Yes, this story ends in a
huge cliffhanger with no HEA! Ms. Clare tells you that right away in
the author's note. Boy, does she leave you hanging in spectacular
fashion and longing for the next book right away! I can sense Ms.
Clare leading her readers down a dark road covering a serious and
intense subject matter. I am intrigued, sort of frightened and
excited for Striking Distance. My heart is pumping! I'm ready for
more Laura and Javier! Bring it on!!!

I have been a Pamela Clare fan for quite some time - but there is a
special place in my heart for the I-Team!! Every one is better than the
last and I'm not sure how since they are all SPECTACULAR!!
That said, even though this book was a mere 70 some pages, HOLY CRAP was it HOT!!
This is simply the prequel to Striking Distance, which comes out in a couple of weeks(THANK GOD!), but it's so steamy you may need some assistance when you finish it, if you know what I mean! *wink*
This book is all about the weekend that Javier and Laura meet. A weekend that is supposed to be simply sex and fun and nothing else, but we all know what happens when that declaration is made?? Oops, we kinda fell in love! :)
Now, you are warned at the beginning that this story has a cliffhanger, obviously because it is the beginning to the actual fill length story but even though you were warned you will be so wrapped up in the emotions in the story that you will forget, I swear, until that's it! The End. And you are left begging to know WHAT NEXT!??
No worries, Ms. Clare is not a cruel person and we only have to wait a couple of weeks to be back together with Javier and Laura and the rest of the I-Team we all love so much!!!

this has one enticing plot. seems like a good read even though i am not into this kind of genre. but what i really like is how you thoroughly gave a review without spoiling a plot. keep writing
